CAN-education in Finland

TKE is arranging CAN-basics education at Tampere, Finland 23.02.2012.

Lessons include:
- Physical layer/cabling, connectors, topologies, transfer   rates and its effects
- Hubs and switches in CAN network
- Transfer layer/frame-structure, principles of data transfer
- Application layers protocols
- Physical layers typical fails and toubleshooting

CANtrace 3.10 Released

Customer feedback have been heard and new features have been added into new version of CANtrace

- Support for several Peak-interfaces at the same time   instead of one
- Old configuration files can be used, as long the file format   is the same

Exploring opportunities

TK Engineering (Vaasa, Finland) and Juniper Systems (Logan, Utah) have today announced an agreement to explore opportunities for developing a closer co-operation. The two companies have complementary strengths within areas such as rugged handheld computer equipment and CAN-systems.

TK Engineering offers it's CANtrace monitoring and analysis software to be used in Juniper's rugged PDA platforms. Juniper Systems offers intuitive field computing solutions for rugged applications. The newest addition to Juniper family is the Mesa, worlds first rugged notepad which is suitable for service personnel performing CAN-analysis in the field.

In addition, opportunities for closer co-operation in certain geographical areas will be achieved.
Juniper Systems will bring us a helping hand on the US market, our aim with the co-operation is together offer complete solutions for the end-user says Timo Kesti, CEO of TK Engineering Oy.
The TKE CAN-software packages will be further developed to suit Juniper's ruggedized platforms. Also customizing of the packages are possible.

I am excited about moving forward together to offer this solution and hope to find a nice market here in the USA/North America says DeVon Labrum, Director of Sales & Marketing at Juniper Systems. This co-operation with TK Engineering opens up new possibilities for Juniper Systems ruggedized platforms in new application areas, he continues.

TKE is IFM certified integration partner

TKE has been selected as a certified integration partner to control system manufacturer IFM Electronic.

The role of the system integration partner is to provide system level solutions, such as system design, system testing and verification, to customers using automation components from IFM Electronic.

We are very excited to see what this brings, and surely it will be a challenge to learn the IFM system components.

But with the excellent support and cooperation from IFM Electronic, we believe that initial thresholds will be quickly passed, says Timo Kesti, CEO of TKE.

TKE arranges CANopen Tech Day together with Vector Informatik GmbH in Tampere, Finland on 7.6. 2011.

CANtrace 3.9 released

This version has got 3 major improvements. The new send-window can now handle DBC-format which means that the user can pick messages he wants to send to the bus, from database-files.

The second new improvement is the CANopen nodescanner tab that shows the "livelist" of connected CANopen-nodes. The livelist shows the NMT-state of the CANopen-node. It is also possible to change the nodes NMT-state from this window.

Now it is also possible to analyze J1939-networks since CANtrace supports Transport Protocol, used by J1939-protocol.

The course will feature CANopen basics, network management, design, troubleshooting and life cycle management.

TKE announces a new valvedriver

CJVD-10 Valvedriver is a new approach to integrate existing hydraulic valves with CANopen-network. This unit gives a very cost efficient CANopen interface individually for each coil. Thanks to it's design it can be mounted to most valves on the market.

New advanced features

- Closed loop current control
- Dither
- Tyco JPT and Deutch DT06 -connectors

TKE has released a new website in Finnish for promotion of CANopen, www.canopen.fi The aim of the website is to make material and knowledge available in Finnish in a simple and easy way. On www.canopen.fi one can find articles as well as a dictionary and other information regarding CAN and CANopen.

CANtrace 3.5 released

The new CANtrace version features a new and improved Graph window for signal representation.

CANtrace now saves configurations in XML for better compatibility, and the last used configuration is automatically loaded at startup.

Another important feature is the replay functionality. It is now possible to post analyze log files created with CANtrace.

WCS-10 now GL certified
The WCS-10 CANswitch from TKE has now been certified for marine use by Germanischer Lloyd, certificate number 75 189-09 HH.

WCS-10 is now certified for environmental category D, EMC 1 as well as software class 3.

Extensive tests have been performed at test facilities in Finland in order to achieve the type approval certificate.

CANtrace now with extended hardware support
CANtrace from TKE Oy now has the widest interface support on the market. The latest addition to the supported interfaces is Softing CAN-interfaces. The implementation is based on the Softing CAN API, which means that all Softing interfaces are supported (PCMCIA, USB, PCI etc.)

CANtrace now supports Castor, Kvaser Vector and Softing hardware interfaces as standard. Customer specific hardware support is also available upon request.

TKE Oy delivered electronics for controlling lighting sequences of a light show which resulted one of the worlds largest CAN-network with 750 CAN-nodes.
The system is controlled trough five WCS-10 CANswitches. It contains a total of 27000 led lights.

From the Download section you are able to download demo versions of TKE software.
You will also find manuals, EDS files, firmware etc. for our hardware products.
