The PXI 3090 FlexRay controller provides two independent FlexRay nodes. Each node has its own dedicated micro controller whose on-board software calculates check-sums, alive-counters and transmits predefined messages without the need to interact with the host PC. This takes the load from the host PC and frees up valuable bandwidth for more complex testing.
